Multidrug Loaded Reduced Graphene Oxide Electrospun and Fabrication of Controlled Drug Delivery for Breast Cancer

Prabhakar Orsu, Lavanya Vasavi

Multiple drugs loaded electro spun nanocomposites development with excellent biomimetic and controlled release properties is essential for treating breast cancer tumors. Herein we propose electro spun Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) and Carboxymethyl Tamarind Gum (CMTG) with nanocomposite fibers coated with curcumin and piperine treatment breast cancer in controlled drug delivery at the tumor site. rGO and CMTG have been serving as stabilizing antioxidant agents with improved biocompatibility. The fabricated rGO/CMTG Nano composite coated with curcumin and piperine was examined with different functional, crystallographic techniques and surface morphology. RGO/CMTG Nano composite was formed as amorphous morphology. In vitro, drug release studies of rGO/CMTG nanocomposite showed high drug loading and controlled drug release. Further, in vitro studies revealed that the rGO/CMTG nanocomposite triggered the cytotoxic effect of MDAMB-231 human breast cancer cells with a practical IC50 value. Therefore, our findings suggested that those rGO/CMTG nanocomposite nanofibers are effective for breast cancer treatment.
